Operating revenue rose to ₹3,006 crore, up 28.1% YoY, driven primarily by strong sales growth in its beauty segment and improved results in fashion. The beauty segment reported a 26.6% increase in revenue to ₹2,699.7 crore, with profit before exceptional items climbing to ₹180.2 crore from ₹105.4 crore. Meanwhile, the fashion vertical posted a 42.9% revenue rise to ₹287.2 crore and reduced its loss before exceptional items to ₹7.7 crore from ₹21.4 crore previously. Consolidated expenses increased 24.8%, slower than revenue growth, supporting better margins.
Why it matters
Nykaa’s substantial profit growth highlights the company’s successful focus on its high-margin beauty business while managing to steadily improve the loss-making fashion segment. This balanced performance is critical for sustaining long-term growth and profitability in the competitive Indian ecommerce market.
The ability to grow revenue faster than expenses demonstrates operational efficiency gains, while narrowing losses in fashion indicate potential for future profitability in this segment. Furthermore, the company’s strengthened financial position provides capacity for strategic investments and acquisitions to fuel future expansion.
What to watch next
Investors and analysts will also focus on how Nykaa continues to improve the fashion business alongside sustaining momentum in beauty. The company’s ability to maintain revenue growth while controlling expenses and navigating evolving consumer trends will be key indicators of continued success.
